Tombras has been named creative agency of record for Regions Bank following a consultant-led pitch process. The independent agency will handle creative strategy and execution across all marketing and brand activity for the Birmingham-based financial institution.

Regions Bank operates 1,300 branches across 15 states in the South, Midwest, and Texas. The bank reported $155 billion in assets as of Q4 2025.

Tombras, founded in 1946 and headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, has built its book of business on regional and national brands including Popeyes, Bojangles, and H&R Block. The agency employs approximately 400 people across offices in Tennessee, Florida, and Texas.

The appointment follows what Marketing Report International described as a consultant-led review. The duration of the review process and competing agencies were not disclosed.

Regions Bank's previous agency relationships have not been publicly reported. The bank has maintained relatively quiet brand activity in recent years, with limited national advertising presence compared to larger regional competitors like Truist and PNC.

Tombras now joins a portfolio of independent agencies winning financial services accounts in 2026. Earlier this year, Mischief @ No Fixed Address picked up Chase Sapphire Reserve, and Madwell added Marcus by Goldman Sachs to its roster.

The agency's Tennessee location positions it within Regions Bank's core operating territory. Whether Tombras pitched against holding company networks or other independents remains unreported.

Neither Tombras nor Regions Bank has released additional details about campaign timing, media spend, or strategic priorities for the partnership.
